Ladies pair Marie Bruckshaw and Julia Nest remained calmly focused to take their rubber in two clean sets.  The men’s pair David Cotton and Dave Mills weren’t far behind and with some spirited play from the Cleeve men, Wells stayed on track and also took the rubber.

With the winter sun dropping and ice trying to return to the courts the mixed matches went ahead. 2nd pair Bruckshaw and Cotton put in sterling work and took their rubber in two sets. Sadly 1st pair Nest and Mills found their rhythm to be elusive against the pace and spin of Cleeve and lost in two sets.

Wells A won overall 8-2 and added another good score to their tally.  Captain Nest is very pleased with her team’s growing consistency as the season progresses.
