Square metre challenge to support Motor Neurone Disease Association, Saturday 17th December

On Saturday 17th December, Anseres Place residents are taking on the challenge to fill one metre square with £1 coins.  We will need 1764 coins with a total weight of 15.44 kilos to raise money for a charity close to Wells Tennis Clubs heart, MND association.  This will take place at the entrance to Anseres Place at Wells marketplace.

You may have seen rugby player Kevin Sinfield with his ultramarathon challenge to support this charity and his friend Rob Burrow and we would like to do the same for a dear friend and stalwart of Wells Tennis Club who has been diagnosed with MND, Brian Clarke (second from right at the front of the picture).

Brian has done so much for the club in his years holding many positions including chairman, treasurer and committee member as well as being a big part of the social side of tennis and now needs our help to support the MND Association a charity focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for people affected by motor neurone disease.

If you cannot visit us but would nonetheless like to add something to our target, we have set up a page on the JustGiving site https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/anseresplacewells.  You can click through on this link, which is safe and also allows the benefit of gift aid to be added by taxpayers.

Thank you
