Ladies Successful League Week

The Ladies’ teams enjoyed a clean sweep of victories in all matches last week. The A team secured an impressive 6-4 point victory against Taunton A , with Ines and Charlie winning both of their rubbers in straight sets.

The B team recorded a strong 9-3 point victory over Bridgwater B. Corali and Caroline playing as 1st pair defeated Bridgwater 1st pair 6-1 6-1, before overcoming 2nd pair in a Championship tie break. Anna Misiak and Alison Wood narrowly lost to 2nd pair in a Championship tie break, but responded with an excellent 6-3 6-1 win over 1st pair.

The D team faced Cleeve B in closely contested match, needing to play 3 Championship tie breaks to secure their rubbers and overall victory.

The C team also enjoyed success, defeating Avenue B 6 rubbers to 3. Both pairs beat Avenue 2nd pair in straight sets and Sue Llorca and Emiliia produced some good tennis beating Avenue 1st pair in Championship tie break. Well done Ladies.
