Junior Club Championships

Due to postponement our junior club championships were pushed to a later date but still played at a great quality.

The heavens opened as players fought on through the box rounds which saw four players rise to the semi finals.  Tom Wilson took on Henry Laird in the first semi while Mark Preston played Zeno Sfetcu.  Both matches saw some amazing rallies, exciting shots and a lot of heart!  From the battle of the semis saw Tom Wilson and Mark Preston through to the final.

A tough match was to follow which started strong with big hitting becoming a standard but as the match went on  Tom Wilson stayed focused to take the trophy.

Coach Kevin said, “It’s always great to see players playing and we are working hard this year to encourage more of this and I was so impressed with all players stepping up and playing great tennis in very difficult conditions.”
