Juniors in front of the net playing in the road to wimbledon event

Road To Wimbledon

Last Sunday Wells Tennis Club juniors took part in the LTA tournament the Road to Wimbledon. This event allows club juniors to compete to gain a chance to play at the home of British Tennis.

The afternoon gave a great display of junior competitive tennis and sportsmanship by all players.

The event started with two box rounds followed by the top two players in each box moving through to the semi finals and then a final between Zeno Sfetcu and Mark Preston.

After some great play the eventual winner and player moving onto the next round in Taunton was Mark Preston. Great play by all and it truly was a pleasure to watch and good luck to Mark in the next round!
