Presidents Ladies Tournament

The annual Presidents Ladies Tournament took place at Wells Tennis Club on the 8th September with a wonderful turnout of 16 ladies.  It was doubles tournament with partners drawn on the day and a round robin format, with the added spice of a joker for each pair to play on the round of their choice!  It was a very equal competition, with some exciting rallies and tactical joker playing. 

President Tasha with Winners Sarah and LucyThe eventual winners were Lucy James and Sarah Townsend by a mere two points over Wendy Edwards and Heidi Shakespeare.  President, Tasha Smith, presented the prizes having enjoyed watching the tournament and cheering everyone on!  Organiser, Julia Nest (Ladies Captain), was so pleased to see the WTC ladies having a brilliant time on court and enjoying this fun tournament.
