Great British Tennis Weekend comes to Wells
Wells Tennis Club will open its courts for free play, coaching and activities as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend on Saturday 21st July.
Aimed to encourage more people to take up the sport for fitness or competition the Great British Tennis Weekend is co-ordinated by the Lawn Tennis Association across the country.
From 9:30 am until 2:30 pm the club will be hosting drop-in free children’s and adults coaching with LTA Somerset Coach of the Year, Kevin Durney. There will also be a raffle with tennis themed prizes and refreshments, including strawberries and cream.
Coaching times are as follows;
09:30 – 10:30 Junior coaching for 8yrs and under
10:30 – 11:30 Junior coaching for 8 to 10 year olds
11:30 – 13:00 Junior coaching for 11yrs and older
13:00 – 14:00 Adult coaching
Courts will be available for anyone to come and practice for free throughout the morning.
