Away matches continue, whilst Wells waits to be lit up again!
It has been a challenging week for the league players at Wells. Not only was there the weather to contend with but also rewiring to the lights meant home matches had to be postponed. Away matches managed to go ahead.
For the ladies C Team is was a very close battled match at Bridgwater, with Anne standing in at the last minute and Odie coming into the fold. Unfortunately, it was a loss, but only by 1 set. The A Team also had a soggy late starting match at Clevedon, maybe a swim would have been more appropriate! The team gave it their all and were delighted to have Wendy back, but on this occasion, they lost 7-4.
The men’s B Team stormed through their match at Bridgwater with a resounding 10-1 win, even with the wind and rain. The name of the evening was Matt, 3 on this week’s team and Russell. Well done! The play at Blackwell was more challenging and on this occasion the C team didn’t come out winners. The team will be back at the beginning of June ready for a win.
