North Somerset League: Wells B vs Congresbury A
With glorious weather, Wells B team hosted Congresbury A team on Sunday 6 November, and the ladies doubles pairing of Wendy Edwards & Ginni Smith got off to a great start taking their first set 6-1. With a slight dip in the second set they picked themselves back up and managed to win 7-5. Mens pairing Jake Ford & Dave Mills had a closely fought two set match, eventually resulting in Congresbury winning 7-5 & 7-6.
On to the mixed doubles and first pair Wendy & Dave lost 6-4 & 6-2 and after a shaky start the second pair Ginni & Jake won their match 7-5 & 6-3. Overall it was a very tight score with 2 sets to each team meaning it came down to games with Wells B taking 43 to Congresbury’s 40.
