Quiz Success in aid of New Clubhouse

Our recent Quiz & Bingo Night at The White Hart in Wells was a great success, bringing club members, friends and family together for an evening of fun and competition. We are thrilled to announce that the event raised a whopping £840.00, all of which will be directly allocated to the New Clubhouse Fund.

54 super quizzers took part. The support and generosity of everyone was overwhelming proving how dedicated our members are to seeing our new facilities come to life. Huge thanks to club members and many local businesses for their generosity in donating such amazing prizes for our raffle.

The quiz itself comprised of 10 enthusiastic teams, with Kevin’s team ‘Get to the Hopper’ winning by just half a point – runners up being Colin B.B’s team ‘Artemis’. In fact, the first 6 teams were separated by only 4 points. Such a close call!

The bingo games were very tense! The room fell unusually quiet as everyone concentrated so hard on their bingo sheets waiting for their numbers to be called. Odie did a splendid job as Bingo Caller using all the quirky bingo phrases!

It is nights like this that remind us what a wonderful club we have. Thank you for your support, your energy and kind generosity.

THANKS: Finally- a big thank you to Vicky Flicker for helping me sell so many raffle tickets prior to the event, Deborah, our President, for drawing the winning numbers, and to my husband Gary and Odie for helping me on the night. Thank you, too, to Cassie Stevens for sourcing some amazing prizes from local Wells businesses.

The White Hart really looked after us – a perfect function room, fabulous buffet food and excellent beers!
