Rusty Rackets end of Year Charity Shindig

As is tradition Wells Tennis Clubs “Rusty Rackets (not so rusty)” group had an end of year tournament and quiz.  Players competed in a tournament in which every round had a new partner and opponent to see who could win the most games in an allotted time.

After the tournament was food, drinks and the traditional and immensely enjoyable Ollie Refson Quiz (a highlight to anyone’s calendar) with a game of “heads up” for the remaining players finishing off a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

teenage-cancer-trustCongratulations to the winners of the tournament, Dave Winstone and Clare Mather.  A  sum of £150 raised from this event has been donated to a very worthy cause chosen by the group which this year was The Teenage Cancer Trust.

I would personally like to thank everyone who attended and made it such a fun evening both on court and off and all who have been attending the Rusty Rackets sessions throughout the year.

See you on court soon.

Kevin (Head Coach, Wells Tennis Club).
