Wells B win at home vs Cheddar
On Sunday Wells B Team were out in the early morning sunshine to play host to rivals Cheddar, in the Winter League.
Dave Mills and Martyn Holliday started in spectacular form, not letting their opponents claim a single point until the forth game. They cruised to a 6-0 6-0 victory.
The ladies pairing of Cathy Cudmore and Lorna Jenkins had a much tighter affair. With long rallies and little to separate the pairs the score stood at one set each. After a titanic match lasting two hours, Wells finally battled through to take the deciding set 6-3.
The mixed matches were too much for Cheddar. Holliday and Jenkins cruised to a 6-0 6-2 win, whilst Mills and Cudmore had a bit more of a match, winning 6-3 6-2. Wells B taking a maximum 10 points at this half-way point in the Winter League.
