Rapid fire tennis to finish the Easter weekend

Members at Wells Tennis Club enjoyed a fast handicapped tournament on Easter Monday.

A record 24 players enjoyed a competitive morning with every game concluding at the 15 minute whistle.  Organised by Brian and Ruth Clarke, the 10th annual event had fine conditions for mixed doubles with losing pairs gaining a handicap point to start each new game.

“Our Easter Monday tournament is great fun for players of all standard as the handicap system gives everyone a decent chance of winning points and games.  Thanks to a record turn-out we also had a fine selection of cakes and refreshments to enjoy afterwards.”
