Winter League Update
We are approaching the end of the winter league season and following postponements due to bad weather, each team has one or two fixtures left to play.
The A team currently sit top of Division 2 with two games remaining, following a recent 10-0 home win over Congresbury and an 8-2 victory away at Lympsham. 6 points from the remaining two fixtures will guarantee promotion but with an 8 points lead of second place Lympsham, Marie and her team will be aiming to be promoted as champions.
The B teams season will come down to the final fixture. They are fighting with Cheddar to stay in division 3 with a four point deficit to overturn. On Sunday 17th March, Cheddar travel to top of the table Trull whilst Wells B host Victoria. A big win is required but the team will fight for every point.
The C team have had a very successful year and promotion is secure with one game left to play. With a big lead at the top it looks very likely that the C team will be promoted as champions, climbing for a second consecutive year up to Division 7.
