Wells A Ladies Vs Woodlands A Ladies

Wells A team visited Woodlands in Weston to take on their A team. Marie Bruckshaw and Jade Ogden narrowly missed out on the win against their first pair 7-5 7-5 whilst Ginni Smith and Wendy Edwards took their first match 6-4 6-1.

When the pairs switched around, Marie & Jade sailed through with a 6-4 6-2 victory whilst Ginni and Wendy had a battle on their hands in fading light conditions. They lost the first set 6-2 and just managed to clinch the second set 7-5 before abandoning play due to no floodlights.

With the win already in the bag for Wells, Ginni & Wendy returned to play out the final set winning comfortably 6-2.

With 4 matches now completed, Wells A have 20 points placing them 3rd in division 2.
