Wells B vs Trull C

Wells B hosted Trull C for their final match of the 2018-19 Winter League.  With blustery winds to deal with, it was a good challenge for all. Ladies pair Marie Bruckshaw and Julia Nest kept their cool and took their match 6-1 6-4.  The Men’s pair of Martyn Holliday and David Cotton took a storming first set 6-2 but had a slight wobble in the second and the score was reversed 2-6 but a match tie break decided he rubber, with the Wells men taking the spoils.  

With the wind still swirling, the mixed matches got under way and first pair of Nest and Cotton never looked in doubt, taking the rubber 6-0 6-3.  The second pair of Bruckshaw and Holliday had some good rallies and came out victors 6-1 6-2.  Wells B took the overall win 10-1.

Captain Nest was thrilled to finish the season so well and would like to thank all the players that contributed to a thoroughly successful season.  It looks very likely Wells B will gain promotion to Division 4.
