Fabulous French Fun!
Thanks to all those tennis players and spectators who came along to the club on Sunday to be a part of our annual French Open Tournament. It was a lovely afternoon of socialising, tennis and amazing food thanks to Juliet Matthews (thank you also to Emma and Tasha for your extra contributions). I’m sure the spread at Roland Garros wasn’t as spectacular!
Kevin organised a fun French themed event where players competed in doubles to score the highest number of games. Congratulations go to Matt Briscoe in the men’s and to Arabella Browne in the women’s section. Super performances by them and others!
Alongside the tennis and food there was also a raffle as part of our fundraising for the clubhouse. We would like to thank Mark Ross for his donation of a bottle of Cremant. Lucky Binkie the winner!
The afternoon was a great success and raised over £300 towards our clubhouse funds, a great achievement. Thank you everyone.
