Wells Tennis Club is offering up to fifteen sessions during January for just £20 to kick off the New Year.
Any adult beginners coaching or cardio tennis sessions are included in the offer.
- Beginners adult coaching. Wednesday 9.30am and Fridays 1pm, starting Wednesday 6th Jan. Coaching is for one and a half hours.
- Cardio tennis. Mondays 9.30am and Fridays 7pm, starting Friday 8th January. Sessions are for one hour.
Cardio tennis combines exercise, music and the opportunity to hit lots of balls. Players will get short cycles of high intensity activity and periods of rest, almost like interval training. The aim is to provide a fun, group activity where players of all abilities enjoy tennis together.
Beginners adult tennis will assume no or a little experience of the sport and take participants through all the basic strokes and game play.
Coach Kevin Durney said:
“January is a great time to get outside and get moving, we’ve got one great offer for two exciting activities. Cardio tennis is a new way to boost your fitness levels and have some fun on court. You get to hit lots of balls but it doesn’t matter where they land and I’ll keep you moving with targeted exercises in between.
If you’ve never played tennis before, or want to pick up an old racket again, cardio tennis or beginners coaching is a great way to start.”
