Wells Mens A Victorious against Victoria A
Wells A-Team took on Victoria at home having narrowly lost in the away match earlier in the season. First pair Kevin Durney and Jon Parsons won their first match 6-2, 6-4 whilst second pair Matt Goatcher and Jack Williams won a yo-yo match 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 to give Wells a lead at the halfway point of the tie.
In the reverse matches Kevin and Jon came away straight sets winners 6-1, 7-6 whilst Matt and Jack lost out in three sets 6-7, 6-1, 6-1. This gave Wells A a 9-3 Victory on a sunny evening at home. It has been a challenging season this year so a win against Victoria A was a welcome tonic after some tough matches.
