Wells Tennis Club AGM: A New Chapter Begins

The Wells Tennis Club held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, 3rd March, at Wells City Football Clubhouse. This yearly gathering provided members with an opportunity to reflect on the past year, discuss future projects, and engage with plans for an exciting season ahead. Key topics included the club’s evolving social calendar and the continued progress toward a new clubhouse.

A significant moment of the evening was the election of the new committee. Before announcing the results, the club expressed heartfelt gratitude to those stepping down from their roles. Special thanks go to Colin Blatchford Brown (Chairman), Helen Thompson (Secretary), and Corali Sacerdote (Ladies’ Captain) and Ian Baker (Maintenance) for their dedication and service.

The AGM also welcomed new committee members. Two outstanding candidates, Matt Stevens and Juan Carlos Jimenez, put forward compelling visions for the chair position.
