Winter League News, Wells B vs Trull

On a sunny Sunday morning Wells B travelled to Trull in the North Somerset Winter League.

The Mens pairing of Dave Mills and Martyn Holliday were in imperious form and only dropped 1 game in their 6-0 6-1 victory.  Julia Nest and Marie Bruckshaw took a little longer over their tussle, but still proved too strong for the Trull ladies, winning 6-3 6-2.

After a brief break, Holliday and Bruckshaw found themselves 2-5 down in their mixed clash. Steadying themselves, they took the next 5 games to take the first set 7-5. Riding high they blasted through the second set to win 6-1.  Mills and Nest flew past their opposition 6-1, only to lose focus and drop the second set 4-6. They regrouped and cruised to a 6-4 victory in the third set.

Wells B adding another win to their Winter League campaign taking a maximum 10 points.
